Virus is an antidote to primitive thinking.
A primitive thinker sees an image and unconsciously associates this
with other information and stimuli.
A primitive thinker will not think beyond this surface reaction.
Virus aims to strip imagery of its primitive connotations.
Virus aims to force the viewer to re-evaluate their preconceived ideas
and ideals through juxtaposition of opposing images.
Through a theatre of cruelty style media barrage.
Virus has no native agenda.
Virus is a blank slate on to which the viewer can project themselves;
exposing their prejudice and flaws.
Virus: Propaganda?

non: The full length follow up.
Not for the standard 'music for a fashion statement" internet elite.
This is extreme music for extreme people. This is our hate-album. Themes
of junkies, car crashes, slave and prostitutes. Distorted metallic percussion,
angular riffs and atmospheres of urban decay. Song Titles: Rape, Junky,
Cancer, Slave, Skin, Whore.
non: September
2007.

The
Amenta, have nearly finished preliminary work on the full length follow
up to 2004's acclaimed album "Occasus".
More
ambient than what came before. Nastier. Uglier. Darker. Sounds of a
collective sick of playing by rules.
Extreme
music for an age rotting to rags. Do you want traditional? Do you want
safe? Do you want the sound of a million brainless hacks slaving away
on thrash solos learned by rote from guitar magazines? The Amenta is
NOT FOR YOU.
Themes
of a world choking on it's issue.
Prostitution.
Heroin. You filth groveling before a televised god.
Working
Titles: Junky, Whore, Slave, Skin.

Virus:
Noise structured as hymns to a society defined by failure.
A visual antidote to the Word. A DVD and net release designed to break
control. Car crash rhythm and short circuit melody married to broken
shutter/window visuals.
Propaganda
with no agenda.

The
Amenta are currently in the studio working on two distinct follow ups
to 2004's acclaimed Occasus.
From the multimedia/propaganda arm of The Amenta comes an exercise in
churning electronics, searing distortion and factory ambience. Experimental
cut-ups and rearrangements of The Word. To be released as an internet
release through www.theamenta.com as well as an extremely limited DVD
pressing complete with manipulated visuals and binary code.
Then the full-length follow up to Occasus. A new album of extreme innovation.
No safe options. Ugly and uncompromising sound design. Effected ambience
and irregular riffing. Themes of prostitution, addiction and disease.
Working song titles: Skin, Entropy, Atrophy, Virus.
The Amenta is a new age of extremism.
